Voices for Creative Nonviolence
VCNV is an organization whose members have led over 70 delegations to Iraq to challenge the economic sanctions and have had delegations in Afghanistan learning from nonviolent grassroots movements and raising awareness about the negative impacts of war and militarism.
A peace and justice activist since the early 1980s, Kathy Kelly has received many awards for her work including the Pax Christi USA Teacher of Peace Award, the Gandhi Peace Award and she was a Nobel Peace prize nominee with Voices in the Wilderness. She has been a contributor to publications and news websites such as The Sun, The Chicago Tribune Magazine, The National Catholic Reporter, Columbia Journal of International Affairs, Common Dreams, and Counterpunch.
