Guest: Kathy Bergen, human rights activist working for peace in Israel and Palestine.
For over 30 years, Canadian Kathy Bergen has been involved in working for justice and peace in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. She has worked with the Mennonite Central Committee as its peace education worker in Jerusalem; served in Geneva as the director of the International Coordinating Committee for NGOs on the Question of Palestine; one of the founders of the US Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation. Kathy helped found Friends of Sabeel North America, a nonprofit, tax-exempt Christian ecumenical organization seeking justice and peace in the Holy Land through nonviolent advocacy and education. She has lived extensively in Ramallah and Jerusalem.
