By one estimate there are 500,000 orphaned and abandoned girls living on the streets of India, many suffering from poverty, lack of education, HIV/AIDS, and sex trafficking. Working in close cooperation with the Salesian, Carmelite, and Franciscan Clarist Sisters in India, Home of Hope provides a safe place where these girls can get the love they deserve and a good education so they can go on to productive lives. To date, over 3,000 girls have found refuge in nine Homes of Hope orphanages around India.
