Helpmate – Serving Victims of Domestic Violence

Helpmate is a non-profit organization working to help victims of domestic violence, women and men. It provides free and confidential services to survivors of domestic violence in Buncombe County. Having served over 2500 individuals in their last fiscal year, the Helpmate philosophy is one of empowerment and self-determination. Such services as counseling, support groups, education classes, court advocacy, emergency shelter and case management are provided free of charge.
