22 million children in the U.S. live with a single parent. Many of these children can benefit by having long-term relationships with another adult who believes in them and sees their potential. Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of WNC has provided this relationship to 14,000 kids. History shows mentors serve as a role model, help kids achieve academic improvement, provide growth in self-confidence, support for development of life skills and building of higher life aspirations.
