"I shall work for peace by using the way of love myself..." - Peace Pilgrim.
From 1953 until 1981, "Peace Pilgrim" walked more than 25,000 miles on a pilgrimage for peace. Carrying few worldly possessions, she shared with people in towns and cities across America her simple but profound message, “when enough of us find inner peace, our institutions will become peaceful and there will be no more occasion for war.” Her legacy carries on today as her life and work continue to inspire people around the world. Our guests today are from Friends of Peace Pilgrim, a non-profit whose mission is to preserve and spread the legacy of Peace Pilgrim.
Bruce Nichols is on the board of directors and Merry Brennan is a long-term supporter and author of, Peace Pilgrim: Walking Her Talk Against Hate.
