As a global sports movement, Special Olympics has been changing lives and attitudes since 1968. Founded by Eunice Kennedy Shriver, the Special Olympics' mission is as vital today as it was when the movement was founded. Representing over 5.3 million athletes, unified partners, coaches, and volunteers worldwide, Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship.

Our guest this week is Katie McGhee, Senior Director of Marketing and Communications with the Special Olympics NC in North Carolina.
