The Origins of Fascism in the United States

George Bernard Shaw once wrote, “We learn from history that we learn nothing from history.” Our guest, Michael Roberto, probably knows this better than most. His new book, The Coming of the American Behemoth – The Origins of Fascism in the United States, 1920-1940, explores the face of fascism in the U.S.. According to Michael, fascism never came to power in the U.S. during the interwar period (between WW1 and WWII), but fascist processes have now coalesced into a clear fascist trajectory.

Guest: Michael Joseph Roberto, author, journalist, retired history professor and political activist.
