The Poor People's Campaign 2024

“Today, poverty is the 4th leading cause of death nationwide. It is a death sentence for Americans." - Bishop William J. Barber II

140 million poor and low-income people live in the United States today. The Poor People’s Campaign is a national campaign to change their lives for the better, to bring to an end systemic racism, poverty, ecological devastation and other policies and laws that adversely affect them and the lives of all Americans. A movement working to transform the political, economic and moral structures of society.

Our guest is Leslie Boyd, member of the coordinating committee and organizer in Western North Carolina.
