Since 1985 Veterans For Peace (VFP) has been working to build a culture of peace. With over 140 chapters worldwide, their work includes: educating the public about the true causes and costs of war, abolishing war as an instrument of national policy; restraining government from intervening in the internal affairs of other nations; ending the arms race and eliminating nuclear weapons, informing the public about the climate crisis and militarism. Our guest Ellen Barfield serves on the Board of the national office of VFP and represents VFP to the UN Department of Global Communication. She also heads Baltimore's Phil Berrigan Memorial chapter of VFP.
